This template will allow you to create your own normalator based on a new set of categories and rules. There are no pre-existing rules.

Step 1.

Create a test data set to help you create your rules; for example using a spreadsheet. Ensure you have the following columns in your spreadsheet:

• Source Column or Free Text – the one you want to normalate.
• Target Column or Category field – the target field
• Reference Column ID field – a unique reference for each row in your spreadsheet

Step 2.

Create a new normalator and choose the Blank template.

Import your test data set choosing the Source Field, Target and Reference fields.

You can also create your set of normalated categories when you create your normalator.

Step 3.

Use the Normalator screen to highlight the key words or phrases and create your categories.
